Welcome to my Cocoary. It’s like an orangery, except for cacao trees (I’ll let you work out why it’s not a cacaory, unless it’s just me with a mind in the gutter…), and it’s where I like to settle myself with my crafts and my books. And my chocolate, naturally. You’re more than welcome to pull up a chair and have a cup of tea. Take a truffle – they’re there to be eaten, not to look pretty!
Crafts:
Generally, I’m a cross-stitcher, but I sometimes crochet, and I intend to take up other forms of embroidery, and possibly quilting, when I have a bit more time. Occasionally, I have been known to make the odd, poorly-made, dress.
Books:
My favourite novel or series is Nancy Mitford’sΒ The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate. I am very fond of the Saga of the Volsungs, as well, with the dragons and gold. Poor dragon. They always seem to end up dead in a ditch, sword through the heart.
My favourite author, though, is Georgette Heyer, who established the Regency romance as a Genre.
But I’ll read anything that stays still long enough. Even the ghastly horrible things which probably ought not to have seen the light of day. My library is discussed here.

What’s not to love?
I just came upon your blog, and since I am a cross-stitcher I just had to check it out. I have to say that you say you have very little discipline. I don’t quite believe you because I don’t think you would every complete a cross-stitch project with no discipline! I will enjoy reading more of your blog.
I never had any before I started cross-stitching, and I don’t have much for most other things. Just something magical about cross-stitching! I’m glad you like my blog; thank you! π
Happy to have found you Ce. It was the header that drew me in. Pens, needles, tea and cake! Why think twice! π
Glad you like π
